The Orange Bourbon variety is a rare Bourbon mutation, celebrated for its striking orange-coloured ripe cherries. This unique genetic trait, combined with Ijen’s rich volcanic soils, creates a coffee with a distinct and vibrant flavor profile. Unlike many Indonesian coffees, which often lean toward deep spices and darker notes, this coffee surprises with a fruit-forward, clean, and exceptionally sweet cup. The cherries underwent a 48-hour natural anaerobic fermentation, a process that amplifies their natural sweetness and adds a smooth, syrupy mouthfeel to the coffee. The result is a balanced cup that highlights the delicate fruit notes of blood orange and grapefruit.
